Nepal Peak Climbing (Nepal Mountaineering)
The two most popular mountaineering routes in Nepal for those who want to try a real 6000 Himalayan are found in the Everest Hindu Valley region.
These are the trekking peaks of Mera Peak 6476m and Island Peak 6189m.
The Méra Peak is a snow race with moderate slopes and an ascent without great difficulty for a trained mountaineer.
Island Peak is at the foot of the Lhotse massif. It presents more difficulties. From the lakes of Gokyo and the Kala Pattar you will enjoy the prestigious view of the Himalayas.
From the top of these 2 peaks extends one of the most beautiful panorama of Nepal with its 8000 including Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Baruntse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga.
The path crosses pine and rhododendron forests and passes through many villages where we meet different communities: Sherpa, Tamang, Brahman, Chhetri and Newar.
