Annapurna Trek

Day 1
Arrival at Trubhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu (1350m). Your guide will meet you at the airport and bring you to the hotel for rest.

Day 2
Visit with an English-speaking guide of Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and Swayambhunath.

DAY 3-KATHMANDU — BESISAHAR —

We leave by 4X4 for Beshisahar on the road to Pokhara. The road offers magnificent views over the valley of the Trisuli river, then we cross superb tropical landscapes, before going up towards Dumre and having a first vision of the Annapurnas and Machhapuchhare. From there we continue north to Besi Sahar 760m.

DAY 4- BESHISAHAR-KOTO

We leave by a track which winds in the middle of the rice fields. to reach Koto, the starting point of our hike, about 5-6 hours by road

DAY 5- KOTO — META

Departure of the trek:

We leave the traditional Annapurna tour which continues its way west. We head due north into a narrow valley, leading to the Tibetan border. From now on, the trip takes on a wilder dimension. We will follow the Naar Phu river, with its wooded banks, crossing it and re-crossing it. Little by little, we have a clear view of the summit of Kang Guru to the east (6,981 m) and that of Pisang to the west. After an imposing chorten, which marks the entry into Buddhist country, the path rises to reach the village of Meta, built on a plateau.

DAY 6- META —-CHYAKHU-KYANG-PHU

We continue on stony moraines before crossing the summer village of Kyang. Then we take a path carved into the cliff at a good height of the river which is now called the Phu khola. Beyond this rather impressive passage, a course in level curve allows us to find the bed of the river and reach Phu Gate (the door of Phu) which we cross by taking a path in tight zigzags. Behind this passage, we enter an altitude mineral valley in which Buddhist chörtens are placed here and there, reminding us that the inhabitants are of Tibetan origin.

We arrive at the authentic village of Phu, located at the confluence of two valleys and surrounded by peaks such as Gyaji Kang (7,038 m), Himlung Himal (7,126 m) or Nemgung (7,140 m), more others, without name, exceeding 6,000 m in altitude.

DAY 7- PHU VILLAGE:-
Acclimatization day visit of Phu village

A day to rest and acclimatize to the altitude. We can explore the culture, natural diversity and traditional and religious practices of the ancient Narpa people. Meals and overnight at lodge

DAY 8- PHU — KYANG — CHYAKHU-NAAR PHEDI
We redo the opposite path until we arrive in sight of Meta and we go full slope in a sandy descent to reach the river. We cross it on a footbridge over a deep gorge where tons of water rush. We arrive at the monastery of Sartek Thrangu Chpepel Ling Gompa to spend the night there.

DAY 9- NAAR PHEDI — NAAR VILLAGE
We will go up to the mountain pastures which precede the village of Naar and pass in front of an imposing series of chortens and mani walls. The path now rises to reach a ridge and a high plateau where the village of Naar spreads out. Visit and night in the Tibetan village.

DAY 10- NAAR VILLAGE—KANG LA PASS 5320M-NGAWAL VILLAGE 3660m

Long and splendid day. The path crosses a large plateau, passes through the Kang La base camp 4,900m. After a last climb we arrive at the Kang-La pass. From the pass, the view is breathtaking on (almost…) all the Annapurnas (II at 7,939 m, IV at 7,525 m, III at 7,555 m) and the Gangapurna. The descent on the other side is steep towards the village of Ngawal, first in a moraine then in grassy slopes.

DAY 11- NGAWAL — BRAGA — MANANG
A milder day that begins with a beautiful forest path, on a balcony above the Marsyangdi River, before reaching the village of Munje. From now on, the valley is wide, the path flat until the beautiful village of Braga, with its terraced houses, dominated by its very old Gompa. We finally arrive at the Tibetan village of Manang, capital of this small region. This village, at the confluence of two valleys, and framed by several mountain ranges, enjoys an exceptional location. Magnificent and varied views of many Himalayan peaks and their frozen waterfalls.

DAY 13- MANANG — TILICHO BASE CAMP

Here begins our detour via a high trail to Lake Tilicho. While the classic path follows the banks of the Jharsang khola river, we gradually climb to the village of Khangsar / Shri Kharka, to reach the base camp of Tilicho by taking a path marked on the side in sandy slopes.

DAY 14- TILICHO BASE CAMP — TILICHO LAKE 5014 M — /SHRI KHARKA 

We leave very early in the morning,
We first cross a scree before arriving on a plateau on which Lake Tilicho appears as in a jewel case. We admire the high mountain landscape between summit, glacier and turquoise lake. Then we begin a long descent to our lodge at Shri Kharka.

DAY 15- SHRI KHARKA-YAK KHARKA
Short step very gently in order to rest from the passage in altitude of the day before and to acclimatize well. After a steady climb, through the huge mountain pastures where we can admire the yaks and maybe even some bharals, we arrive in the hamlet of Yak kharka. Magnificent panorama of the Annapurnas.

DAY 16- YAK KHARKA — THORONG HIGH CAMP
Penultimate day before the ascent of the Col de THORONG La 5,416 m. We still take our time among the yak herders, before joining by a succession of glacial moraines, the high camp of High Camp 4,925 m.

DAY 17- THORUNG HIGH CAMP - THORUNG LA PASS (5416 M) - MUKTINATH (3760 M)

A very early start is necessary to arrive in Muktinath in the afternoon. The ascent takes place partially at night. The regular path rises gently towards the pass, where a forest of prayer flags awaits us. On the opposite side, the path plunges sharply into the valley. In front of us, the Dhaulagiri is revealed at the bend of a bend. Arriving at Muktinath, short stop to visit the Buddhist and Hindu shrine, attracting many pilgrims.

DAY 18- MUKTINATH – JOMSOM 2720m.

We do this part in a private 4x4 to avoid a painful walk on the road. One hour by 4x4 to arrive at Jomsom. Afternoon rest in Jomsom or visit Marpha.

DAY 19/20- FLIGHT JOMOSOM — POKHARA — KATHMANDU
Early departure for Pokhara then Kathmandu arrival in the afternoon.

Overnight at hotel in Thamel Kathmandu.

DAY 21- Departure to France.

Naar-Phu valley trekking is sacred Himalayan pilgrimage region situated in Northern food of the chain of the Chulu peak (6250m.) We walk up via crossing the Kang La pass 5300mtrs. we  are following Manang  district, we visit  the blue Tilicho  Lake. This is  located in high alpine  environment at 4200mtrs,  Cross via Misokando pass 5300mtrs. down till Jomsom. On the tour of the Annapurnas hide still trails secrets that lead to tibetain villages from Naar-Phu. This trail is and absolute highlights in our trekking.
