Manaslu Trek

Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu (1300 m)

Our company representative will pick up you from international airport and you will be transferred to hotel in Kathmandu

Day 02: City tour

our city guide will take you to historical places around Kathmandu valley which is also listed on world heritage sites by UNESCO. In the evening you will be given general information about trekking regarding Do and Dons during trekking and daily routine / schedule of trekking will be given to you by our tour guide every day.

Trek days

Day 03: Drive to Aarughat (608 m)

We start trekking from Aarughat. This is a beautiful small market and is located on the bank of Budhi Gandaki river, it can be reached after 6-7 hours driving from Kathmandu via Dhading Bensi valley. At first we follow the Prithivi highway and then we turn to our right taking the branch road to get to Aarughat and stay here for one night.

Day 04: Trek to Soti Khola (700 m)

we start walking n the morning after having breakfast crossing the suspension bridge, and old part located near both sides of the bridge. We walk through the hotels and lodges of Aarughat bazar and register our trek permit then we follow the rough road which is heading toward north after walking of 5-6 hours we will reach to Soti khola where we set out second day camp.

Day 05: Trek to Machha Khola (869 m)

On this day we again step ahead toward north. On the way we can see the beautiful terrace rice field local houses beautiful waterfalls as well as Mt. Yaru and Ganesh himal. Observing the rural scenery Machha khola can be reached after waking of 5-6 hours. It is a small village where we can find shops and few lodges.

Day 06: Trek to Dovan (1070 m)

We cross the small Machhakhola river which flows from up hill and we walk toward the Dovan following the local trail. On the way there is hot spring at Tatopani, It’s a small village at the bottom of the cliff having 7-8 houses, where we can take bath on natural hot spring. After 6-7 hours walking Dovan can be reached where we set our camp for this night.

Day 07: Trek to Jagat (1340m)

From Jagat we step forward following the local trail which is lightly up and up to yaru bagar and the from the right side of the gandaki river we head forward to jagat the trail goes parallel with the river gandaki. Jagat is the entrance point of Manaslu Conservation Area from where the restricted area starts. This place can be reached in 5- 6 hours walking. It is almost the central village with primary school and few shops and lodges.

Day 08: Trek to Filim (1570 m)

The trail gradually ascend to the Salleri village from the right edge of Gandaki river. In salleri there are few local lodges and the trail goes continue to sirdibas (1430 m) an unique village and the again continue to Fillim village which is the village where some important government offices secondary school some shops. We have chance of seeing beautiful Himalayan range and daily schedule and living way of local people.

Day 09: Trek to Deng (1860 m)

About an hour from Philim Chiso Pani can be reached where we can find some houses, from there we arrive in Ekle Bhatti (1600m) and Pewa following the same way forward. There is few tea shops at Pewa which is very close to river. And from there the trail goes gradual upwards up to Deng, It’s a small village where we can see some reflection of local Buddhist culture.

Day 10: Trek to Ghap (2015 m)

We start walk forward to Ghap following the slightly up and down trail toward north direction on the way we walk through the village and we can see local habitants working on their slope fields. Seeing the mountain on our front side we enjoy on our walking in the rural area, where we feel the real and haras life of the Nepal Himalaya. It takes nearly 5 hours to reach Ghap and there we can stay either at lodge and we can set up tent camp.

Day 11: Trek to Lho ( 3180 m)

From Ghap the trail progressively goes upward through the pine forest and after 2 and half walking we will reach to the Namrung village from where we can see the Hiun chuli , Ganesh himal and Shringi himal toward east. From there we move forward through the jungle we get to a village called Lhi from the we still go forward to Lho village keeping Mt. Manaslu in the eyes. It takes aroung 6-7 hours to get to this village. Where we can have look fantastic view of double peaked Mountain Manaslu and other peak around. Here we can also visit to monastery.

Day 12: Trek to Sama Gaun (3520 m)

This day we go to visit to monastery to observe Buddhist ritual function and pray in the morning and the we move our steps forward to our destination Sama Gaun. The trail which is Gradual up little down and increasingly in ascending order takes us to Sama Gaun, which is a big village having some good lodges, shops, Police post and Manaslu Conservation Area check post. it takes just three hours from Lho to Sama gaun. This is the tree line and from here the amount of tree is less.

Day 13: Trek to Samdo (3875 m)

We walk around three hours taking easy trail above the tree line, keeping the major attraction Mt. Manaslu and some other peaks in its line on our left hand side. We will have unforgettable walk from the base of this incredible mountain Manaslu.

Day 14: Rest day at Samdo (3875 m)

This day we will take rest as it is over the 3500 m elevation on this day we can do explore around Samdo village and short walk toward Tibet village for the acclimatization.

Day 15: Trek to Dharmashala (4460 m)

We walk around 4 hours through the trail which is on slowly increasing upward from Samdo toward Dharmashala ,Where we walk slowly keeping our eyes to the beautiful white snowy mountain Manaslu range to the left and gray high hills to the right hand side, Which is the grazing place of Local yaks and wild animal blue Sheep.

Day 16: Trek to Larke-La ( 5160 m) and Bhimthang (3590 m)

We start our walk very early in the morning around 4 am and it takes around 5 hours to get to the top of the Larkya–Pass. This day we will have marvelous sight of rising sun in the morning while we keep on walking towards the top. We spend few minutes on the top seeing the incredible fantastic view and we start walking forward to Bhimthang following the steep slope trail for around 3 hours and then easier trail for around 2-3 hours to get to village just back of the Manaslu.

Day 17: Trek to Tilje (2300 m)

We start our walking in the morning following very easy down ward walking through the pine, bamboo and rhododendron forest and crossing the rivers keeping all the beautiful mountain range on our backwards. While walking we can see colorful birds and flowers on the way. After 5-6 hours walking Goa can be reached. It’s a beautiful village at the bottom of the Himalayan hill and just above the river.

Day 18:Tilje to Chame (2670m)

Chame is the headquarter of Manang district which can be reached after passing away the village Bagarchhap ( 2160 m), Timang (2750m), Tangchok and Koto (2600 m).it is a beautiful village having many teahouse lodges and district administration office.

Day 19:Chame to Pisang (3200m)

We will walk a head following the trail via Thaluke and Bharatang village where we have good time to see the local daily life and the cultures. It is in the distance of 6-7 walking hours. Here at Pisang we can visit to Monastery.

Day 20: Pisang to Manang (3540m)

It is in the 6 hours walking distance. There is also small airport here on the way, we still have to go still forward to north side following the trail to , old Buddhist monastery, snow caped mountain and the alpine forest are the main attraction of this area.

Day 21: Rest Day at Manang (3540 m)

We make one rest day here. It is for maintaining the body with local environment. It’s for preventing from high altitude sickness problem. On this day we can visit to Ice Lake or gompa and Milarepa cave as a short and easy day tour.

Day 22: Manang to Yak Kharka (4050m)

We start our trek after breakfast and we will ascend up to almost 500 meters on this day above tree line region. On the way we can visit small stupas and mani walls. Observing the animal Bluesheep and some other good looking birds in the steep hills, we keep going upwards to Yakkharka which takes around 4 hour of walking.

Day 23: Yakharka to High Camp (4925m)

As much as we go higher we will have more beautiful scenery. This day we can see more panoramic Mountain View and unique landscape on snowline. Some people do not stay at high camp they start Thorung La Pass direct from Phedi (4450 m).

Day 24: High Camp to Muktinath (3760m)

We start walking very early in the morning after breakfast and have to walk slope upwards to the Thorung La (5416 m) top following the snowy path of Himalaya. From the top We can view incredible mountains range.It take four hours to get to the top of thorung La and then the path goes downward to Muktinath on this day totally we have to walk around 8-9 hours of walking.

Day 25: Muktinath to Jomsom (2720m)

Muktinath is a holy place for both bhuddist and hindu pilgrims , where we can see one pagoda styled small temple and 108 water taps on its back.and nonstop flaming light in side there. We walk down to jomsom on this day which is very easy. We can follow the trail either directly to jomsom or via Kagbeni. To get to Jomsom we can also get ride to jeep.

Day 26: Fly back to Pokhara (800m)

This day we can fly to Pokhara from here in the morning crossing over the one of the good view point and the major tourist destination Poonhill (3210 m). During 25 minutes flight Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan range can be seen.

Return to Kathmandu

Day 27: Return to Kathmandu (1300 m)

To return to Kathmandu by tourist bus, which departs 7 o’clock in the morning? And it takes around 6-7 hours to get to Kathmandu. We have two alternatives. Either we can take 30 minutes flight

Tour days

Day 28: Reserve day

This is the day for looking around city and also for buying something as per your interest. We will have farewell dinner all together in Kathmandu on this evening.

Day 29: Departure

This day we will come to hotel and take you to airport on your given time for the final departure to home with wishing you a nice journey.

Manaslu tour and Throng Pass trek

This Manaslu trek starts in Arughat (7 hours drive from Kathmandu). The path goes up the valley of the Burhi Gandaki river in wild landscapes. You pass through villages inhabited by the Gurung ethnic group with authentic Tibetan Buddhist culture. After passing the Larkya pass 5213m, you descend into the valley of the Marshyangdi river and you find the Annapurna circuit trail going up to the Thorong pass 5416m. You will have two options to complete the trek, either to Jomsom or to Beshisadar.

The trek is done in a lodge.
