Arrive in Kathmandu at any time. Our airport representative will welcome you and give you further details of the program. There are no planned activities for your arrival day, so check into the hotel, get your bearings and enjoy your overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Visit to Boudhanath Pashupatinath and Swayambhunath. Evening briefing about trek.
Day 04: Flight Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. O/N Hotel.
Day 05: Flight Nepalgung to Juphal/Dunai. Trek to Sulighat (3170m.)
Day 06: Sulighat to Chekpa Village (2590m.)
Day 07: Chekpa to Sandwa Village (2930m.)
Day 08: Sandwa to Phoksundo (3730m.)

This region is a hidden valley in Dolpo. It’s a high desert plateau at the foot of the Himalayas. It is dominated by the impressive Dhaulagiri Massif. The path is dotted with passes, ancient Buddhist shrines, lakes, Tibetan villages of the ancient Bon Po sect.
You start your trip with a flight to Nepalgunj. The trek starts in the village of Juphal. You are walking on the old track of the Trans-Himalayan salt exchange route. On your way you will come across caravans of yaks, other animals and porters.
The highlights of the trek are: the authentic village of Tarakot, the Dho Tarap valley, Lake Shey Phoksundo, Shey Gompa and the Chholing monastery.
