The Ganesh Himal region trek is surly the lost monarch of the Himalayas-a great jewel that has been out of the limelight for years. In the 1980s a couple of trekking companies managed to get some adventurous walkers to explore the fabulous Tiru Danda ridge and the southern flanks of paldor. The Ganesh Himal trekking region is now part of the Great Himalaya Trail route, although the section is better down from western to eastern parts of Nepal. Allow two weeks for this trek and for now expect to camp or stay in primitive homestays.
