Everest Trek

Day 01: Departrure from own country.

Day 02: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu (1350 m).
 Arrive in Kathmandu at any time. Our airport representative will welcome you and give you further details of the program. There are no planned activities for your arrival day, so check into the hotel, get your bearings and enjoy your overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Visit to Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and Syambunath evening briefing about trek.

Day 04: Flight, Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2652m/8699ft) Duration: 3 to 4 hours Early morning transfer to the airport for Lukla flight. The flight to Lukla is a lifetime experience in itself. The airfield is at high evaluation and the difference between the two ends of the runway is about an exceptional 60 meters only. Trek to Phakding with an arresting, green landscape with the view of Kusum Kangraru. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 05: Phakding to Namche Bazar (3440m.)  Duration: 6 hours.
We follow the Dudh Koshi, ascending through Himalayan pine and cedar forests, to the celebrated village of Namche Bazaar. The village of Namche is a historic trading post where Nepalese and Tibetan traders exchange salt, dried meat and textiles. Besides being a splendid destination to shop for traditional crafts, Namche remains the central trading post in the Khumbu that attracts Himalayan and lowland merchants. You will spend two days at Namche for acclimatization, visit local markets and spend time with your team. On the hike we capture our first glimpses of Everest and neighboring peaks. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 06: Namche to Khumjung(3780m.) Duration: 2 hours .
This is a day for acclimatization; we walk up to Syangboche Airport (3700m), the supposed to the highest airport in the world. Then continue Walk up till Khunde et Khumjung green valley villages (3780mtrs).  to Valley views of Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Tawache etc. On the way back visit Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo Gallery. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 07: Khumjung to Thame (3750m.) Duration: 4-5 hours.
The most exciting acclimatisation trek around Khumjung takes you west along the valley of the Bhote Koshi to the secluded village of Thame (3750m). Set among alpine meadows beneath the mountain wall of Konde Ri. From here, we can see magnificence views of Sunder peak (5361m.), Parchamo Peak (6273m). Teng Ragi Tau (943m) , Pasang Lhamu peak (7350m) are trials run west to wards Tashi Lapcha, (5755m.) pass leading to the Rolwaling Valley and north towards the Renjo La (5360m). and the Nangpa la pass (5716m). to Tibet.

Day 08: Thame to Lungde (4380m.) Duration: 4-5 hours.
We gather in the very long ascent to Lungden, where four are located at Five Lodges. When ascending from Thame, the ascent is very long, and the acclimatization delicate, with a night at Namche where Thame. Possible only with bivouac equipment one night at Thame. However, since Thame this climb to the Renjo La (5360m). in two rational steps.

Day 09: Lungde to Gokyo Lake ( 4750m.).Cross via Renjo La ( 5360 m) Magnificent view of Mt. Everest and Lake Gokyo, Mt. Makalu and walk down till Gokyo Lake. Duration: 6-7 hours.

Day 10: Gokyo/Gokyo Ri ( 5360m.) to Thanknag ( 4700m.) Duration: 6-7 hours. 
Cross the torrent at the northern end of Gkyo Lake and climb directly 3-4 hours walk up and till down Gokyo. Afternoon, Crossing of the Ngazumpa Glacier: <moraines et débris principal> 2 hours of Walk, This stage allows to divide the longe climb to Cho La pass.

Day 11: Thanknag to Zhongla ( 4850m.) cross via Cho La (5350m) Duration: 5-6 hours.

Trail along the creek and then at a pass, crossing down to old moraines from the pass. Climb up unstable scree to the pass (5420m). Cross the glacier right bank, then down a steep rocky corridor to the meadows of Dzongla.

Day 12: Zhongla to Lochuche ( 4930m.) Duration: 2-3 hours.
Level trail to a south-facing shoulder where you go up, in balcony, to the main road and to Lobuche.

Day 13: Lobuche to Gorkship (5140m.) Duration : 3 hours. 
At first easy and then painful trail in the middle of the morainic scree of Khangri Glaicier. Arrival at Gorakshep, then climb (eventually) to the Kalapattar (5545m.) (Trail, laces at the beginning) 2-3 hours to go back to Gorakshep, 2 hours to climb to Kalapattar. Fast descent to the lodges (1 hour to 30 min).

Day 14: Gorkship to Everest B.C.(5364m.) and Lobuche lodge Duration: 6-7 hours.

Chaotic journey through the moraine then on the Khumbu glacier to the base camp of Everest. 4-5 hours round trip. Alternatively: Lobuche / Kalapattar and return to Lobuche during the day, or conversely, as described above, 2 nights in Gorakshep.

Day 15: Lobuche to Chukung (4730m.). Cross via Kongma La (5535 m) Duration: 5-6 hours.

Day 16: Chhukung to Tengbuche (3867m) - Duration: 6 hours.

Day 17: Tengboche to Monjo ( 2835 m.) Duration: 6 to 7 hours.

Day 18: Monjo to Lukla(2800m.) Duration: 6 hours.
The trek continues along the Dudh Kosi River to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla, where you will catch your return flight to Kathmandu. Overnig

Day 19: Lukla to Kathmandu by flight and free day.
30-minutes amazing scenic fly back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 20: Journey security in Kathmandu free day.

Day 21: Departure from Kathmandu.

Everest and the three passes 

The Renjo La 5360m pass, the Cho La 5420m pass, and the Kongma 5535m pass. Very good physical condition, a habit of trekking at high altitude (notions of mountaineering) and high mountain equipment (ropes, ice axes, crampons) are essential. The most important thing is to plan for a good acclimatization. For this, the trek will be in the direction: Namche Bazaar, Gokyo lake, Renjo la pass, Cho La then Kongma pass to finish on the descent to Tengboche then Lukla.
